This Dallas, TX home addition was inspired by the front yard views of White Rock Lake and the Dallas skyline. This family with young children needed a place to expand without leaving their home. The new second story addition was the perfect solution! The sophisticated Aalto iron rectangular balusters on the new staircase now greet you as you enter the home and see stylish pendant adorning the stairs. The mid-century modern architecture was carried upward and a breathtaking loft living area with floor to ceiling clerestory windows to embrace the views was born. Your eye travels up to see the Quoizel Uptown Carnegie light fixture and back dropped by wood planked ceiling. The wood ceiling was carried outside to the wrap around deck and recessed lights were added to light up the space. The expansive outside deck provides these homeowners with the perfect spot to spend time outside. Inside, the gray walls and medium stained hardwood floors give this space depth and warmth. With this space meant for entertaining, a bar with refrigerator means these homeowners don’t have to travel downstairs when thirsty. A powder bath, two large bedrooms for the children, adjoining bathroom and a playroom towards the rear of this home complete the need for space for this family. Our clients are thrilled with how this massive renovation turned out and know this is the home for them for years to come!
