HGTV Presents Santa HQ
Running daily from November 9-December 24 at the Chandler Fashion Center, parents and kids alike can find something to enjoy at this event. Kids love the Naughty-or-Nice O’Meter, Elf-Ray Vision, and all the other typical holiday fun. Pictures with Santa are available on specific days and times throughout the timeline, and pet owners can even get photos with Santa with their cats and dogs on Mondays. Since it’s an HGTV event, parents can also expect to see some extraordinary custom homes and maybe even get some inspiration for their own home renovations.
Las Noches de las Luminarias
Christmas in the desert looks a little different than it does in other places. Instead of pine trees, you may see some cacti decorated, and they certainly never get a “White Christmas.” Just because it is different, though, does not make it any less beautiful. The Desert Botanical Garden boasts 8,000 luminaries, which are Christmas lanterns with a small votive inside, and has musicians placed all throughout the garden trails. You can enjoy this gorgeous local experience all the way through December 31.
ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo
What could be better than walking through your local beloved zoo, seeing all your favorite animals with the bonus of magical, twinkling lights surrounding you? That is what you get when you head over to the Phoenix Zoo for their 27th annual ZooLights exhibit. Millions of twinkle lights turn the zoo into a whimsical wonderland, with 700 varying light displays and music and light shows that are sure to dazzle the whole family. ZooLights runs all the way up to January 13, 2019.
Scottdale Santa Pub Crawl in Old Town
For the adults in the area looking for a good, child-free night, the Santa Pub Crawl is calling your name. On Saturday, December 8, beginning at noon, for $20 you get entry into every bar on the crawl, a Santa hat, and three drink vouchers. Bonus points for those who get decked out in their ugly Christmas sweaters and holiday garb!
