Snow could be falling and cold winds howling in different parts of America, but December has got to be the hottest month when it comes to festivals. Whether old or young, this time of year comes with holiday cheer even without the sun. Here is a local event guide to make this holiday memorable.

Breakfast With Santa

Santa will be at the Rusty Bucket Restaurant on Saturday, December 8th from 8:30 to 10 am. Feel free to indulge in milk, juice, scrambled eggs, coffee and toast, and bacon for only $5. Get your camera ready as Santa will be visiting every table – children are definitely in for a treat. The holiday season is a time to share, and this event offers you an opportunity to donate a coat to the Salvation Army.

New Year’s Eve 2018 at Bar Louie Lyndhurst

This year’s curtains are closing, and the Bar Louie Lyndhurst will be the place to be for anyone who wishes to bid farewell to 2018 in style. There is no better place to pop champagne and take local finger licking delicacies as we welcome 2019. Every minute will be worth your while as you listen to invigorating local and international music. Printing a paper ticket would be a good idea in case of technical issues with the scanning of the QR code during entry.

Powered Flight 115th Anniversary

Airplanes seem to fly effortlessly, but the foundation of this success lies in repeated trials with gliders and kites by the Wright brothers. December 17th, 2018 marks the 115th anniversary of the first successful and documented powered flight. Though the flight lasted no more than a minute, it opened doors to a new form of transportation. If you’re a history buff, a visit with your family to the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park on December, 17th will be worthwhile.

Blue Jeans and Blazers Extravaganza

As you’ve probably guessed, the dress code here will be old school Blue Jeans and Blazers. This is a new year’s eve adults only event where music will be played by LOD Entertainment to help you go back in time. With drinks such as Avion, Patron, Ciroc, Tito’s on offer, you can rest assured that the event won’t disappoint in terms of adult beverages. What is more, crown apple chicken bites, tequila shrimp cocktail, chicken sliders, and many more will be on the menu. All these for just $35 is without a doubt a great deal.
