Client Comments: “Our porch remodel accomplished all of our goals by expanding the existing screened porch in two directions – further out from the house in order to add a beautiful stone fireplace and toward the breakfast area (enclosing part of the existing deck) in order to connect the porch directly to the house. The increase in the size of the porch made it possible to have two porch swings, two adjacent sitting areas, and a 60” round table that will accommodate six swivel chairs. Expanding the porch also involved “relocating” the deck where we keep our grills; and, as a bonus, the larger porch made it possible to have two doors to access the deck – one close to the fireplace (convenient for bringing in firewood) and one close to the kitchen (convenient for grilling out). Additionally, we changed the flooring on the porch from old indoor/outdoor carpet to beautiful Ipe hardwoods, and on the deck, we changed from splintery wood to Hardy plank type flooring – both were huge improvements, functionally and visually.”
