Partner

Matt has had the opportunity to design and build over 350 custom homes or remodels since establishing Matthew Bowe Design Build, now Alair Homes Hunt Country, in 2005. He enjoys the construction process as much as he did when he first began and believes it is not enough to simply build a superior home – the client must also receive an exceptional experience.

This belief, and his commitment to a genuine and rewarding relationship with his clients, is the secret sauce that has brought success and support from the community. For Matt, the ultimate indication of success is being welcomed into his clients’ homes after construction is complete.

Matt hails from Long Island, New York and moved to Virginia in the 1988 not long after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Building Construction Technology.

He currently serves as the Board Chair of the Loudon Habitat for Humanity. In his free time, Matt and his wife Nan escape to their weekend home on Virginia’s Northern Neck. They love to entertain family and friends while enjoying all things waterfront.
Chase  McNelis

Chase McNelis

General Manager

Chase joined the team at Alair Homes Hunt Country in 2018 and is responsible for all project financial management and oversight – ensuring that projects maintain the highest quality standards while remaining on schedule and on budget.

His experience in project management, financial analysis, trade partner management and field operations is the foundation that supports and advances projects from the conceptual realm to reality in a highly sophisticated and well-managed, client-centric experience.

Chase oversees the entire design and production team including architects, designers, project managers and filed supervisors. He ensures that all projects are advancing smoothly, on schedule, and at the highest quality possible.

He was born and raised in Harrisonburg, Virginia and attended Coastal Carolina University. He pursued a career in law enforcement before ultimately turning to the construction industry. Chase is passionate about spending time with his wife and children – whether that is coaching sports teams or passing on his love of the outdoors by introducing them to the finer points of hunting, fishing, and scuba diving.
Robin Miles

Robin Miles

Project Manager

Robin is a consummate professional with over 35 years of sales and management experience, including 25 years of interior design and project management expertise. As an award winning Interior Designer, she brings creativity, passion, drive and an eye for detail to all her endeavors. Collaboration is the key to project success, and Robin ensures she has strong working relationships with all parties involved.

Born and raised in SW Virginia Robin spent time in her childhood on home construction sites with her beloved grandfather. The scent of fresh cut lumber is the smell of home to her because of this memory. She believes a home should be a total sensory experience in order to be complete.

Robin has served on the Board of Directors for three organizations, volunteered at local animal shelters and strives to be an advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves. After relocating from Roanoke VA, she currently lives in Centreville VA. She is single, lives with her cat Misha and her passions include yoga, meditation, reading, art, spending time in nature and on the water.
Andy  Owens

Andy Owens

Field Supervision

Andy works on-site full time to ensure the quality and timeliness of Alair Homes Hunt Country projects. He brings over 30 years of experience in the building industry, and his connections with clients, the design team and trade partners create a seamless process that clients truly appreciate.

He finds purpose in working with his hands and was naturally drawn to the field of construction. His knowledge of building and his attention to detail set him apart from most – but it is his passion for making homeowners happy by delivering quality-built homes that drives his pursuit for excellence on every project.

Andy becomes fully immersed in his projects and stays hands-on to achieve excellence on the construction site. His experience includes sales and management for a national retailer of building materials and operating his own building and remodeling firm for many years.

If given the option to work without pay, Andy would serve his community as a youth mentor or park ranger. He is married with two adult sons and enjoys running, hiking and other outdoor adventures.
Cliff  Hanson

Cliff Hanson

Field Supervision

Cliff is a valued member of the Alair Homes Hunt Country team who considers construction to be more than an occupation – it is a passion.

He has been in the trade since his youth and believes every job should be done right and to the highest possible quality. He regularly educates himself on new techniques and products that are constantly evolving in the industry.

Being involved in all aspects of construction in a hands-on manner for over four decades has allowed Cliff to develop a depth of professional knowledge and skills rarely found in today’s world. Building and renovating homes is his first love in construction, however, he also has experience on large projects such as an educational center in New York.

Cliff’s pursuits beyond construction have included being a professional firefighter and an EMT. He was also a ranch hand with his dad, instilling in him the joy of hard work and the pride of a job well done.

His core values are rooted in his faith in his Creator, which also instills in him a genuine care for people and is the foundation of his relationships with co-workers and clients.

Cliff’s idea of relaxation is spending his weekends volunteering to help others and working on landscaping at home with his wife of 40 years by his side.
David Garber

David Garber

Field Supervision

David has been involved in construction since he was a teenager and has never lost his love of the industry. He has managed jobsites for many years before joining Alair Homes Hunt Country as a Lead Carpenter in 2022.

Having been involved in all aspects of building including residential and commercial remodeling and new home builds, David enjoys the diversity of all segments of the industry. He considers any challenge that he faces to be a learning experience and over the course of his career has gained the wisdom to handle anything a worksite might throw at him.

David dedicates himself to quality and integrity in his work and he believes that by understanding the personal nature of each build for his homeowners, he can deliver a home that best meets their needs.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his family, going to the beach, surf fishing, spending time at his grandson’s sporting events, and hunting.
Logan McKinney

Logan McKinney

Project Manager Assistant

Logan joined the Alair Hunt Country team in 2020 while attending Northern Virginia Community College for an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management. Working in the field with the superintendents for a year provided practical experience that he is now utilizing in the office to assist the project managers in keeping the projects organized and on track.

Logan moved to Purcellville in 2004 and has been around construction since he was a young boy. He knew early on that he wanted to work in construction from watching his childhood home being built. Growing up, he worked on various construction projects, including helping to build a house with Monroe Technology Center and the Academies of Loudoun while in high school.

He is currently furthering his education at James Madison University, earning his bachelor’s degree in Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

When not at work, Logan can be found outside mountain biking or hiking, rock climbing, and fishing with friends and family.
