Exceptional construction alone doesn’t create an exceptional client experience. An exceptional client experience is shaped by the judgment, guidance, and stewardship a builder provides long before construction begins and long after it is complete.

Over the past two decades, Matt has guided the design, renovation, and construction of more than 350 custom homes and remodeling projects throughout Northern Virginia. Every project is the product of hundreds of decisions that influence cost, quality, durability, and long-term value. Matt has dedicated his career to helping homeowners navigate those decisions with confidence through technical expertise, disciplined planning, and unwavering advocacy for their interests.

Matt believes building a custom home is about far more than exceptional craftsmanship. It is about providing clients with certainty. His philosophy is rooted in comprehensive pre-construction planning, transparent communication, and disciplined project management. He believes the most successful projects are those where risks are anticipated early, addressed thoughtfully, and managed before they become costly, giving clients confidence that an experienced advisor is protecting their interests throughout the process.

While Matt takes great pride in every home his team builds, remodels, or expands, he measures success differently. His greatest satisfaction comes from earning the trust of his clients and building relationships that continue long after construction is complete.

A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Building Construction Technology, Matt has devoted his career to serving homeowners throughout Northern Virginia. He has also served as Board Chair of Loudoun Habitat for Humanity and remains committed to giving back to the community he calls home.

Away from work, Matt and his wife, Nan, enjoy spending time with family and friends at their home on Virginia’s Northern Neck.

Born and raised in Southern California, Mark built his construction career from the ground up. Beginning in property maintenance, he worked his way through the skilled trades, gaining hands-on experience in carpentry, concrete, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other key aspects of residential construction before advancing into construction supervision. Over the years, he has successfully overseen projects ranging from small renovations to large custom homes.

As Field Supervisor, Mark works closely with the Project Manager to coordinate daily jobsite operations, manage trade partners, maintain quality standards, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently. His broad trade background allows him to anticipate challenges, solve problems quickly, and ensure every phase of construction is completed with care and precision.
Known for his strong communication and leadership, Mark keeps crews organized, subcontractors informed, and expectations clear. He believes that successful projects are built through teamwork, accountability, and attention to detail.

Mark also served as a firefighter in his hometown of San Diego. That experience instilled the discipline, composure, and commitment to safety that continue to define his approach today. Clients appreciate his calm, practical approach to problem-solving and his dedication to building homes with quality, professionalism, and integrity.

Heather began her career in home building in 1999 and immediately fell in love with helping clients through this unique process while building lifelong relationships within the industry. In her role as Project Coordinator at Alair Homes Hunt Country, Heather is an integral part of providing an outstanding client experience. From the project planning stage through construction, Heather provides critical support to Project Managers including project administration reporting, budgeting, scheduling, permits, client progress updates, and design selections assistance.

Heather’s background in custom home sales, design selections, and organizational team and client support roles has imparted to her the importance of communication, transparency, and attention to detail. Building authentic connections with clients and peers drive her passion for being a part of a one-of-a-kind building/renovation experience. Outside of Alair Homes Hunt Country, you can find Heather kayaking, bicycling, exploring the area, or working on home improvement projects. Having moved from Pennsylvania to Winchester, Virginia in 2020 to be close to family, she takes advantage of spending time with family and friends whenever possible.

Alex is a skilled and dedicated professional who joined the Alair Team in 2023. As a Project Manager, he brings a wealth of experience in overseeing a range of construction projects including home additions, large-scale remodeling and new home builds. Alex’s passion for building began at a young age, when he started working as a laborer during his high school summers in Loudoun County. His early exposure to the construction industry sparked his interest and over his long career he has developed a deep understanding of the field.

Alex’s enthusiasm for building continues to grow and evolve. He is constantly seeking new knowledge about products, processes, and design techniques. He particularly enjoys collaborating with clients to create unique and personalized solutions for their homes. His dedication to delivering quality work and exceeding expectations is evident in every project he undertakes.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Alex has a fulfilling personal life. He married his wife in May of 2016 and became a proud father in January of 2023. He enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. He also has a passion for woodworking and exercise, which he pursues in his free time.

Alex is a well-rounded and skilled professional who brings both passion and expertise to his work at Alair. His dedication to his clients and his craft makes him an invaluable asset to the team.
