Green Bay is the perfect vacation destination with the proximity to Lake Michigan, the museums, the shopping, the restaurants, and so many more fun things to see and do. Read on to see some of the highlights the area has to offer as the weather warms up.

Enjoy an Outdoor Concert

There are a wide variety of destinations, and music genres, that play host to concerts in the area. Stop at Leicht Memorial Park for concerts and festivals all summer long. It is located downtown on the west bank of Fox River. Heritage Hill also hosts concerts on Wednesday evenings. Music lovers can enjoy their favorite tunes, beer on tap, wine, soda, and water. You can bring your own food to enjoy as well. There are a variety of other concert opportunities at LedgeStone Vineyards, Martin Park, the Botanical Garden, and many more.

Cheer on the Bullfrogs

Perhaps America’s greatest pastime? Baseball. The Green Bay Bullfrogs are a summer collegiate baseball team that are part of the Northwoods League. They play at the Joannes Stadium. The team has various promotions throughout the season, including giveaways and post-game firework displays. Go online to buy your tickets and reserve a seat. Don’t forget your orange and green!

Tour Lambeau Field

You can’t visit northeast Wisconsin without hearing about the Packers. During the offseason you can still show your Cheesehead support by touring Lambeau field. See the field up-close, hear about the Packers’ history, and get to experience premium seating views. Visit the Packers website for more information and book your tour.

Visit the Bay Beach Amusement Park

The Bay Beach Amusement Park is located near the mouth of Fox River. It has family rides, thriller rides, and rides for young children. There are concession stands to grab a snack, ice cream treat, or drink for your visit. Or, you can enjoy a meal at The Bay Beach Grill or Main Pavillion. There is no admission or parking cost at Bay Beach, you just need to secure tickets to ride the rides.

Walk on the Crescent Beach Boardwalk

One of the biggest perks of the area is, of course, the bright blue water of Lake Michigan. Not far from Green Bay, in Algoma, walk along the Crescent Beach Boardwalk to get a great view of the water or dip your toes in the sand. The half-mile award-winning boardwalk was built by volunteers and made out of recycled plastic. There’s a volleyball court, space to kayak, or use the beach to take a dip.
