Full Home Remodel and Addition
Increasing the footprint by 150% transformed this small and cramped four-bedroom, one-bathroom Cape Cod, with zero curb appeal and no dining space, into a light, airy, and spacious five-bedroom, three-bathroom house that is the envy of the street. Every corner of this house was renovated, with a new second-story addition that created a large primary suite, two additional bedrooms, and a third full bathroom.
The expanded first floor features a large kitchen and dining room with vaulted ceilings, a separate mudroom and laundry room, and a screened-in porch.
While primarily a traditional remodel, some contemporary details were incorporated throughout, including a custom-milled white oak railing system, flush-mounted stairway step lighting, and a fully tiled range hood.
The primary bathroom features a spacious shower, a heated towel bar, a separate toilet room, and, most importantly, a double vanity that is four times larger than the only vanity in the original house.
While we significantly increased the square footage of this property, the stature on the street and, specifically, the rooflines keep it in line with the neighborhood. The next phase of this project, about to begin, will be to add an inviting covered front porch and side carport.
