There are a host of great events happening in South Tampa as well as other parts of the city during the 2018 summer months. Tampa is a city that comes alive even after the snowbirds have gone north. There is much to do here, including baseball, history and culture, and art.

Enjoy Nearby Baseball

Take the bridge to nearby St. Petersburg for a game at Tropicana Field, where the Tampa Bay Rays play major league baseball. Watch them play the Yankees, Marlins, Astros and more this summer season.

Explore the historic waterfront with beautiful views of downtown from this park with its pier, playground, cafe and picnic areas. Located in the south of the city, Hillsborough Bay is the setting for family fun.

Picnic Island Kayak Launch

Another gem in the south of Tampa, Picnic Island has a place to launch your kayak as well as a playground for the kids, pier for fishing, picnic shelter and grills. It is set on Old Tampa Bay and looks out towards Weedon Island Preserve, a kayaking destination.

Through September 30th, Vapor and Vibration presents the innovative work of Larry Bell and Jesús Rafael Soto. Learn more at the museum website.
