North Dallas Elegant Living Room and Kitchen Remodel

Earthwind Elegant New Living Spaces

Our clients lived in the popular Dallas neighborhood of Brentfield Elementary, that was built in the 70’s. They loved to entertain family and friends, so they really wanted a kitchen that was more opened up to their living room. They just needed better flow and functionality throughout their home. They wanted to remove the wall separating the living room and the kitchen, completely gut and refinish the kitchen, and give their living room a refresh to tie everything together.

They kitchen was gutted and all new Waypoint cabinets, painted Linen, were installed, as well as where the built-in china used to be. They were able to work the existing skylight into their new design, keeping that natural light coming into the kitchen. New cabinets and a beverage refrigerator were installed at the back of the breakfast nook, and giving them lots of storage, and a bar area.

In the living room, we painted the brick fireplace a dark gray and painted the mantel bright white, creating a nice focal point for the room, that also coordinated with the new open kitchen. The walls were painted a soft gray, and the ceiling and beams were all painted white, tying it all together.

The yellow, white, and soft mint green decor really pull this room together to make it pop. An antique-burnished, brass Mykonos 8-light Chandelier from Visual Comfort was hung in the center of the room, adding a touch of classic gold while tying the updated space together. Our clients love their new wide-open living space—and so do their boys and their dog, Rusty, not to mention their friends and family!
