The holidays came and went, and as always, they brought us a New Year full of new opportunities! Over the past several years, Cleveland has gained more and more traction as a destination city – with both an increasing number of tourists AND long-term residents.
With that being said, the start of 2019 is packed FULL of activities throughout Cleveland! And if you’re going to be a Clevelander, then you can’t let the colder temperatures bother you. You’ll get used to them soon enough!

Cleveland Winter Beer Fest
Head to the Huntington Convention Center for this beloved Cleveland Festival! Here you can sample hundreds of craft brews from both local and national breweries, all while sporting a necklace full of pretzels. Don’t forget the live music! This is one for the books – January 26th and 27th.
Fashion Show at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens
If you’ve been in Cleveland for a while, you know that Kent State University has a pretty incredible fashion program for its students. Well, they’re bringing their magic to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens from January 30th to March 5th for a fantastic “Orchid Mania” floral fusion!
Cleveland Kurentovajne
This just sounds fun, doesn’t it? And it is! The Slovenian Kurent makes way for Springtime fun at this cultural festival on March 2nd. You’ll enjoy a parade, dinners, museum exhibits, live music, ice carving, and so much more.
Geauga County Maple Fest
Maple Fest is an unforgettable gateway festival into Spring, held at the end of April (25th – 28th). This celebration is all about – you guessed it – maple syrup! Geauga Country brings awareness to the production of maple syrup through parades, goodies, fair food, rides, and plenty of fun.
