Coordinator | Manager

We are a general contractor in Northeast Wisconsin focusing on the residential home market of new construction and renovations. This is an exciting time and we are growing our team with the right person who is a great cultural fit and has the right aptitude for the position.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Client relationships – ability to engage client’s enthusiasm for their building project, with a focus on effective communication and being a trusted advisor
  • Client liaison, along with the Project|Site Manager, during construction to ensure effective communication amongst all parties
  • Provide leadership and oversee trades and provide support to the local team
  • Ensure that projects are being executed at agreed upon pace – milestone schedules and updates based on project status
  • Have ability to compare invoices and bids to affirm charges are accurate and ask appropriate questions – provide input on project budgets and review for inconsistencies
  • Review metrics and identify new metrics to affirm standards are being met – have a posture of constant process improvement
  • Identify inefficiencies, wasted product or time and other barriers or risks within the jobs and strategize process improvement
  • Assist with partner relationships of trades, architects, and designers
  • Ability to lead and track goals and meeting agendas
  • Lead clients through project planning and maintain communication with the client to get timely decisions and selections – including bids, scopes of work and budgets
  • Field questions and identify issues related to the project and exercise discretion and judgement when addressing them
  • Support the team in all aspects of the project by collaborating with other market stakeholders to align goals and meet company objectives
  • Have an offensive mindset projecting needs, timelines, issues well in advance – focus on relevant weekly performance indicators and understanding why they are important.
  • Provide leadership with problem solving and process improvement
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team and support and roll up sleeves at all levels
  • Deliver consistently high levels of client satisfaction
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional and respectful manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Passion for helping and working with people
  • Project management experience – construction industry preferred, but open with high level of proven experience in other fields
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; clarity and respect
  • Very comfortable working with computer software, and able to learn new software quickly – Microsoft Office experience a plus
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to assess a situation, think critically through a scenario and come up with a solution
  • Process driven
  • High attention to detail and deadlines
  • Experienced with managing budgets, bids and reviewing invoices
  • Efficient executer with ability to streamline tasks and think ahead – willingness to block schedule their day
  • Physically capable and comfortable with sitting at a desk and working on a computer, basic lifting, moving tools, machines and materials, bending over, and other like duties
