Prosper Whole Home Remodel
2021 Regional CotY Award Winner, Residential Kitchen Over $150,000
Harvest Ridge Lane Whole House Renovation
This 2001 Prosper home sitting on 5 acres in the Amberwood Farms neighborhood was perfect for this family with two young boys but wasn’t updated to their liking. They knew they didn’t want to move, considering there aren’t many neighborhoods with homes in that much land in the DFW area, but they knew that once the boys were old enough, they wanted to remodel it.
They came to Alair and had a good understanding of what they wanted to do, as he was an architect, but they wanted help with design. We gutted the house, did a complete overhaul upstairs, which included new carpet, refinishing both bathrooms and giving the theater room an overhaul. Downstairs, all the flooring in the entire house was redone, a beautiful double-sided fireplace surrounded in marble was installed between the kitchen and the formal living area. The master bathroom is now complete with a large new wet room, contemporary vanities, and the most fabulous closet you’ve ever seen for her! The kitchen was tired and unoriginal and included glossy black countertops, white cabinetry and tiled floor. The new owners had a flair for the spectacular and desired a new kitchen suitable for entertaining, often 75 to 100 guests. They wanted quality and durable factory finished Bentwood cabinets, the best appliances they could afford, blended into a unique design. An eat-in island was also a must. Throughout the process, they discovered exactly how big their dreams really were! The new space features glossy white flat front cabinetry, Sub-Zero/Wolf appliances, quartz and Caesarstone countertops, book matched, white porcelain slab walls with veining, and two islands. The laundry room got an upgrade and a makeover, as well, complete with built-in dog kennels, two sets of washer/dryers, and a wall of storage. Every single room was designed to maximize the functionality of this family’s busy, yet casual lifestyle in the country, yet in the city.
