While a treasured piece of history, this colonial home built in 1938 and “refreshed” in the ’70s was no longer fitting the needs or style of this maturing, modern day family. The owners wanted more privacy so a master suite addition seemed like the obvious solution. But unlike the previous interior “refresh” the addition meant dealing with the Historic District’s parameters so they called Alair who they knew had previous experience with historic homes.
