Purchased for location and potential, the homeowners knew it would take a lot to get this home in shape. But, beneath all the issues was a showstopper.
Stripping away the bad, we could celebrate the good, like original door hardware, front door, original staircase, three original fireplaces and a layout that with some modifications could really work.
The home needed a true primary suite, a beautiful kitchen, and practical function with a guest suite, laundry room, and layout that brought it back to life. We shined up the best historical elements with careful rehab of many windows, doors, staircases, floors, and fireplaces. We also brought new materials to the bathrooms and kitchen that were in perfect balance with the existing historic charm.
Finally, we added even more charm to the front façade by adding a historically appropriate covered second-story porch.
The home is now a showpiece that fits perfectly with the neighborhood. It is a celebration of a beautiful historic renovation, inside and out.
