A stylish couple owned a stylish home with the least stylish kitchen ever. Builder-grade basic white cabinets, antiquated countertops, and an overly tight layout needed to go fast. But an odd room shape had to be addressed.

The design stayed within the existing footprint but created an open, functional, and airy space. A large island with fantastic storage and adequate seating anchors the room, while beautiful hexagon tiles from the countertop to the ceiling add texture and detail without overwhelming.

The light palette is balanced with rich walnut base cabinets, glowing gold hardware and black plumbing fixtures.
