known as the Design and Estimation Process is a detailed process in which the project is
planned, designed and estimated in great detail. It is this investigation and design process
that allows Alair Homes to then follow up with a seamless construction process.

We sit down with you to review zoning and permitting and determine any solutions at this point, as well as the cost estimate. After this meeting takes place, you will determine whether or not the preliminary cost estimate presented is in line with your expectations and decide if you wish to proceed to the formal designing stages for your new project.

This is where we work with our team to gather all of the hard quotes and further drill drown costs for the project specifications. Findings at this stage will allow us to make changes to the design in order to accommodate the specific budget needs of each client.
7. Begin Construction

Once you agree on the finalized project budget and timeline, we execute the final construction agreement and begin construction on your home renovation project.

4. Begin Designing

Once you decide to move forward, your initial deposit is due for the design and estimation portion of your project. Once your initial deposit is received, our team gets to work on working with you to step through the details required to prepare the design of your project.
6. Present Budget

After we gather all of the numbers from the various sub-trades and suppliers, we set up a time to sit down with you to review the completed project budget, accompanied with guaranteed quotes from suppliers and determine the project schedule.

At the pre-construction Start meeting we review what to expect, complete a basic training session on how to utilize the client/builder portal and set a schedule for project meetings.
3. Ongoing Construction Management

Communication will take place throughout the construction process both at our scheduled construction meetings as well as continually on our Client/Builder Portal. As different milestones are hit in the construction budget an automated request is sent out to the client requesting specific selections.
5. Milestone Billings

As each Milestone is met that requires payment, a payment request is sent out to the client. The client will then either submit payment for work completed to date or request that their lender visit the property to approve and release funds. Each milestone is pre-determined in the Construction agreement and states the amount due at each milestone reached.

When building permits are obtained and the details from our Pre-Construction start meeting are complete we will commence construction.
4. Builder Confirmation

As each of the detailed selections are made, the quotes are obtained by our team and reposted for client approval. This allows Alair Clients to make changes/alterations as they see fit throughout the project. No decision requiring detailed selection or cost approvals proceeds without our clients reviewing and approving. There is a steady flow of open communication throughout the project keeping our clients up to speed and in complete control of the job.
6. Project Completion

When the project is completed the Builder and client will conduct a completion inspection and walkthrough. At this meeting the mechanical systems are reviewed, as well as a detailed inspection of any concerns the client may have. Final completion invoice is submitted for client approval.
